Dua Lipa and Guadalupe Nettel

Renowned Mexican writer and Institute of Ideas and Imagination Fellow Guadalupe Nettel recently spoke with the pop star about her work.

Guadalupe Nettel was a 2024/2025 Institute of Ideas and Imagination fellow who is well-known for her writings on motherhood and community. In May, she was interviewed by Dua Lipa about her novel Still Born, which was chosen as Dua's monthly read for the Service95 Book Club.

About the Fellow

Nettel is an award-winning author whose novels and short stories have been translated into more than 20 languages and adapted into theater and film. While she was a fellow at the Institute, Nettel worked on a novel, The Book of Anger, that focused on what leads us to hurt those we love most or to destroy, in a short period of time, what has cost us so much effort to build.
